I am a British photographer whose series work displays a visual journey into the outdoors; a glimpse into my imagination whilst in these places. These moments of quiet contemplation are where I find peace and get lost in my work and surroundings, my view changes, I get transfixed with an idea or a way of looking into something, a way of seeing something different. Coming from a Graphic Design background I often look for graphic compositions and bold shapes, which help me change perspectives. Documenting the natural world, I look to create images that people will ponder for a moment or two, whether in thought, feeling or curiosity. Spending extended periods of time surrounded by mountains, lakes, rivers, dark nights and harsh weather, I usually travel alone immersing myself in the surroundings by van or tent. Often choosing to document abstract perspectives, I read landscapes and visions based on their significance within my own emotion and emotions towards this planet.

I’m an abstract landscape photographer who works mostly in long term projects. I’ve been fascinated with photography since the age of 11, when my father handed me a camera. The delight and magic of that first encounter has never left me.

I’m a Fellow of the Royal Photographic Society and the author of four books, three of which are photobooks, Warped Topographies, Warped Topographies II; my latest, The Prismatic Pond, was published in 2022.

I’ve exhibited as part of the Royal Photographic Society, London Independent Photography, London Photo Show, and Photomonth.

Peter Fieldhouse

This is my third exhibition at the London Barge House and photography continues to be an important part of my life.

I attend studio photoshoots, take part in events, undertake residential trips abroad, work with a range of studios and models. Recently I have begun arranging my own shoots with models in Spain and Poland on a 1-1 basis to add further breadth and depth to my portfolio and explore further a wide range of themes and styles.

Whilst some photographers focus on one or a few niches and stay content and happy, I engage with a studio/street photography, dance, art nude, fashion, cosplay, steampunk, boudoir, portraiture and get a lot of enjoyment sourcing outfits, props and accessories from charity shops and Sunday markets. Much of 2023 has been spent working collaborations with several models on a tfp basis who are like minded stylists and the results can be viewed on IG @Fieldhousephotography or, on Purple Port @Peter Fieldhouse.

The more I travel the more I am inspired, by people, places, sights, sounds and smells – I’ve not been everywhere yet but it’s on my list.. Over the years my style has evolved, colours of travel, and neon nights a thread running all the way through. Would love to see what you think! Anna Lohmann is an award-winning street photographer from Germany, based in London. Roaming the streets observing her surroundings with all senses whilst being completely by herself, that’s what she calls ‘High Alert Meditation’. She loves to capture the extra-ordinary within the ordinary and strongly believes that nothing staged can ever be as good as a candid scene unfolding in front of the lens. Her style can be described as vivid and colourful, often with a portion of humour. Her work has been published internationally and exhibited around the globe. Anna Lohmann is a licentiate of the Royal Photographic society and nominee for the British Photography Awards 2023.

Brian Duffy

Brian is originally from Glasgow but moved to London in 1989. He now lives in Sawbridgeworth, a small market town on the Hertfordshire / Essex border.

His interest in photography began at school when his art teacher started a lunchtime camera club. Sadly, this folded after a few weeks due to a lack of interest.

Despite this, a spark was ignited that grew into a passion for photography. A few years later Brian bought his first “proper” camera; a Vivitar V3000S with a 50mm f1.7 lens and taught himself through magazines, books, constant practice and many mistakes.

I have been taking photos for over forty years and take images of subjects that attract my eye, be it landscape, travel, family, or detail. I always strive to find a different take on a photo, but only started with Street photography after seeing the Streetsnappers/Urban Photographers Club group posts on Facebook at the start of 2020 and I have been improving my Street images ever since. A first zine was published after a Street photo workshop in Venice, but it certainly won’t be the last zine I put together.
