The Africa Edit by Clairelize Photography
Claire Elizabeth is an established photographer based in South West London.
This collection steps away from Claire Elizabeth’s traditional style of work and focuses on stripped back and simple imagery, allowing the subject to breathe. These images are part of a larger collection that were captured on a trip across Tanzania, starting in Lake Manyara and ending in the Serengeti. The objective of this collection it to offer an alternative take on traditional wildlife photography, by removing colour and focusing on texture, habits and personality.
Sandra was born and raised in Zimbabwe. Growing up surrounded by the luxuries of the African bush, Sandra developed a passion for animal conservation and later photography.
Photography has taken Sandra down many paths, yet her biggest passion is Africa and photographing the beauties it has to offer as well as conveying a message about the demise of the Big Five (Elephants, Rhino, Lion, Buffalo and Leopard)
Having a close connection with people involved in the every day protection of these majestic animals, the Rhino has become Sandra’s next big project.
Highlighting the plight of these animals, wanting to bring even more attention to the seriousness of poaching and how it is decimating a species.
The selection of images for this project will be titled – “Lost Identity” indicative of the theme.
The hope is that people around the world continue to make a stand against Poaching.
Do not let the existence of an animal be a mere memory in an image, let it be an ever lasting life for generations to come.

I love modern architecture. The way new buildings are designed, using high tech materials and formed into aesthetically pleasing shapes, never ceases to fascinate me. For this body of work, I have focussed on the details of the many glass and polished stainless steel clad facades, seeking out the abstract, playing with colour and light. Entirely shot in and around central London, I have created a set of images, some caused by reflections, giving a distorted view on reality, as it quite often is in large cities. Others are interesting patterns found in the facades of the buildings. In some cases, the viewer is given just a glimpse of recognition of a well-known landmark.

Carl is a London based photographer and storyteller. In every day life, he endeavours to look at things through a different lens, observing and documenting the details hidden behind the obvious.
