Steve Garratt is interested in making photographs of a variety of subjects (except weddings!) and, having taken part in a very thought provoking week long workshop 18 months ago, has been concentrating on projects based work.
Steve has produced a few small handmade books which consist of just a few photographs up to about 20.
Steve find the procedure of printing, then cutting, folding and sewing the book involves so many more thought processes really liberating and makes him think about his photos a bit differently. Other things such as sequencing and size come into play besides just visual appeal.
Cemanthe has been passionate about photography for as long as she could hold a camera. Her earliest desire was to be a photojournalist but her mum said no to her going into war zones, so she decided instead to document other real life events that weren’t as dangerous, and Lemon Feather Photography was born! Her focus is now on the magic of weddings, the essence of family life and business portraiture from a commercial perspective, however, her main passion is still for documentary, and this comes through in her commercial style.

In the process of seeking self knowledge, Rizza has realized she could deepen awareness through the act of photographing. The attributes of stillness, absolute silence and meditation, have become essential for the creation of her imagery, which aims to eternalize the experimental nature of her working process as she interacts with a plural entity.
Many consider photography as the depiction of what is visible to the eye. For Rizza, however, it is the reverse, she conveys to the world images and sensations which are part of her own self. The transposition of an idea, the raw material of inner thoughts, is a journey through unchartered territory, amidst changeable winds. The experimental nature of this operation will materially determine the visual translation of that idea.

A moment on a train, a chance meeting in a cafe , a touch of a hand by a lover, a stranger in the street, our most favourite place, these are on the face of it, and moments like these are one of many that happen every day. They are just simple moments that would be forgotten or not noticed and lost in the fabric of our every day lives and lost in time.
To capture these moments in a photograph have been my driving force with my vision of photographic art in using light , design and colour, I have spent many nights developing my technique and style in capturing these moments in life that are so fleeting that most of us never give it a second thought, this is the beauty of a photograph and capturing all that it entails .
A photograph can tell a thousand stories or just keep a moment forever with us.
