“Braving the Bleak” is the title of the series exhibited here.

Born in France but having traveled and lived in various countries including Italy, UK, Spain, USA and China with a camera at hand, I have come to think that the world is still worth being considered.
That’s why I strive to reveal it as is or through gently edited images. To me photography is a versatile art. Whatever its purpose – editorial, commercial, artistic, journalism, documentary or others – it inspires us to smile, dream, think. At least, that’s my goal.

Victor Sanchez

Victor, originally from a mountainous region in Northern Spain, has always been fascinated by the world of photography. His journey began during his childhood, capturing moments during family events with his father’s Konica FT-1. Soon, he was given his very own Kodak 335 point-and-shoot camera, and he could not feel prouder of developing and showing the results to family members, even if most showed a not-so-great composition or had part of one of his fingers showing in the photograph.

When Victor turned 18, he saved enough to buy his first DSLR, an entry-level Nikon, which he used primarily for portrait and travel photography. Over time, his interests broadened to include landscape, wildlife, travel, and street. The latter has become a captivating type of photography for him, offering a raw and spontaneous glimpse into everyday life.

Jose Esteve

I’m a London-based photographer originally from Spain. My work is centred around traditional and alternative photographic methods, such as silver gelatin and platinum/palladium printing processes. I gravitate towards a ‘slow photography’ approach, embracing the process and craft to produce pictures that are not just fleeting digital images but lasting physical objects.

All images exhibited are handmade photographs printed in the darkroom using archival methods. Limited prints are available for sale. Contact jose@joseesteve.com

Andy Smith

I am an Outdoor photographer. Retirement has allowed me more time to focus, no pun intended, on my photography and in particular looking to create a story within my images.
As a ‘half glass full’ person I see so much around me which is precious, funny and worth enjoying. Through photography I look to share my optimism about life, growing up and what we take for granted.

My gallery of photographs concentrates on ‘Big Life Moments’. During our lives, we all make transitions, some intuitively, some consciously, some big, some small; however, at the time they would have been significant. For example, remember when you first rode a bike without help, suddenly life and getting around was easier, fun and you had more independence.

Gunel Guliyeva

As a fine art and landscape photographer based in Amsterdam, my work reflects my deep connection with nature and the diverse places I’ve had the privilege to explore. From the lush landscapes of Madeira and the dramatic peaks of the Dolomites to the serene coastal views of Indonesia, I strive to capture the beauty and essence of each location.

For over a decade, photography has been my creative outlet, and during that time, I’ve developed a style that is both minimalistic and impactful. My images are about more than just capturing a scene – they’re about conveying a sense of calm, stillness, and wonder. Each photograph tells its own story, and through my work, I hope to share these stories with others.

Mark Hall

Mark David Hall is an Irish part-time photographer based in London.

His interest in photography stemmed from his father, David, who documented their family life and his own extensive travels as a Geologist to over 60 countries with a camera. Following the use of his Father’s camera while the pair hiked in Yosemite National Park in 2019, Hall purchased his own camera at the start of 2020.

Accompanied by his camera, he solo travelled extensively around the Western United States – chasing epic scenery from before sunrise to sunset and honing his adventure landscape photography in the process. Since changing to a career in business and moving back across the Atlantic in 2021, Hall has turned to capturing city scenes in London and chronicling the wild landscapes of his family home of Achill Island in the West of Ireland.

Frank Carter

I developed a passionate interest in photography at an early age and by the time I reached my late teenage years, I was developing and printing my own black and white films and prints, using an improvised darkroom – a blacked out bathroom in my parent’s house.

I had no idea then on how photography was going to progress in the coming years, to become what it is today due to the introduction of digital photography. Darkrooms, hazardous chemicals and running water are no longer required as images can now be processed and enhanced from a personal computer.
