Mark David Hall is an Irish part-time photographer based in London.
His interest in photography stemmed from his father, David, who documented their family life and his own extensive travels as a Geologist to over 60 countries with a camera. Hall started his own photography journey while working as an equine surgeon in Northern California. Following the use of his Father’s camera while the pair hiked in Yosemite National Park in 2019, Hall purchased his own camera at the start of 2020.
Accompanied by his camera, he solo travelled extensively around the Western United States – chasing epic scenery from before sunrise to sunset and honing his adventure landscape photography in the process. Since changing to a career in business and moving back across the Atlantic in 2021, Hall has turned to capturing city scenes in London and chronicling the wild landscapes of his family home of Achill Island in the West of Ireland.
Through his work Hall captures the beauty of both the natural world and its intersection with humanity. The collection of pictures exhibited is focussed on landscapes, but is just a small sample of a diverse portfolio of subjects and styles. Through his pictures, just as he has been inspired through photography, he aims to inspire others to open their eyes to the world around them and notice the beauty in the everyday world they interact with, as well as chase adventurous experiences – wherever that may be.
