I’ve always had a fascination with photography, but have never had the opportunity to pursue it. Last Christmas, my partner surprised me with a camera – and I surprised myself a few months later, winning 2 golds and a silver in the London Photography Awards. Whenever I get the opportunity, I love to go out exploring with my camera – it doesn’t matter where, as there is always something incredible to focus on. One of the most interesting projects I set myself was to take a different nature photo every day for 3 months in a car park in winter. Dull, you might think – but it’s amazing what makes a home in an urban environment, and, when you really look, how much there is to appreciate.
I thrive on photographing the every day and the extraordinary, the expected and the unusual and everything in between. I love how a split second moment in time can be captured forever, and how that moment can continue to inspire, evoke and alight emotions for years to come. I hope my pictures bring you delight, wonder and reflection. With my images, I aim to bring about a sense of curiosity, joy and pleasure. It would be impossible to capture every moment of every day, however, harnessing my camera I aspire to record the planet we live on in all its juxtapositions.
