Born in 1979 in Portugal, Carla Santos moved to England with her two small children five years ago to change in her life. A fresh start after her divorced and decided to pursue one of her passions.
Carla’s pursuit of a career in photography led naturally to her applying to study a photography course at Lambeth College. During her studies, Carla end up developing a passion for alternative photography mainly photograms and cyanotypes.
Carla created a series of cyanotypes focused on the female body where she used large format negatives of original nude digital photographs she shot and mixed them with some objects and textures creating photograms (print by contact) for her course final project .
After two years of hard work, studying and raising her children alone, Carla finished her UAL diploma in art, design and photography, where she very proudly passed with distinction.
