Cristina Dale

29/09/2017 By Helen Chapman Leave a Comment

Cristina Dale is a visual artist, working primarily with the medium of photography. Her work focuses on the hidden and covert ways surveillance is conducted in today’s society. After graduating with an MA in Photography from Kingston University, with a body of work entitled Dataveillance, she continues to create work related to mass data gathering and digital tracking. She aims to make visible the intrusion and violence of modern day surveillance.

Sousveillance is a new series of images she has created to highlight aerial surveillance captured by satellite imagery. By turning our gaze towards the sky, she confronts us with the silent but every present devices that continually capture and monitor our lives.
