Ian Harrop

I have been taking photos for over forty years and take images of subjects that attract my eye, be it landscape, travel, family, or detail. I always strive to find a different take on a photo, but only started with Street photography after seeing the Streetsnappers/Urban Photographers Club group posts on Facebook at the start of 2020 and I have been improving my Street images ever since. A first zine was published after a Street photo workshop in Venice, but it certainly won’t be the last zine I put together.

The project I have been working on for this exhibition is to shoot Street scenes from a low angle, and is titled ‘Down With The People’. It has been assembled from images taken from many different countries and scenes, and represents what currently motivates me in my work.
