Jane Craig Walker is an award-winning photographer who has grown up, lived and worked in many different countries around the world. A multicultural, global nomad who has lived in London, Louisiana, Aberdeen, California, Nigeria, Kazakhstan and Texas, Jane was brought up in Montreal by immigrant British parents and calls the UK home. Moving frequently for education, work and family has given her an understanding of the importance of culture, tradition and the multifaceted world that we live in. Through photography Jane captures these elements in the commonplace and the unusual while at the same time recording the history and spirit of wherever she is living.
Jane has exhibited throughout the US as well as in Spain, Canada and the UK. Exhibitions include selected group shows at The Glasgow Gallery of Photography and The London Photo Show 2020 as well as juried group shows at DABArt Los Angeles CA, Site:Brooklyn Gallery NY, Houston Center for Photography TX, The Griffin Museum of Photography MA and FotoNostrum Gallery in Barcelona, Spain. Jane has received the 1st Place Photography Award at CCAN2020, a 3rd Place Award in the 14th International Color Awards 2020 and Honorable Mention Awards in both IPA2020 and Chromatic Awards 2020. She has also been selected to exhibit at the 15th Julia Margaret Cameron and Pollux Awards in 2021 and was the International Photographer for July 2021 at the Viewpoint Gallery, Nova Scotia, Canada. Her work is held in private collections worldwide.
