Unseen Thames by Toby Hawkes
The Thames is a busy, continuously changing place, cutting London in two.
With enough time spent observing the river, occasional moments of beauty and joy briefly appear.
This exhibition represents photographer Toby Hawkes’ vision of these moments, which he shares with you.
Artist Biography
Toby Hawkes first picked up a camera about 20 years ago and has focused on fine art and landscape photography.
Previously he successfully hosted a landscape photography exhibition in New Zealand, his home country.
Since moving to London 12 years ago, he has spent an extensive amount of time capturing the city and all its intricacies. This led to the first showing of the public exhibition Unseen Thames at an open day at Tower Bridge Moorings, where he was resident at the time.
In recent times Toby has been awarded Winner of the Architectural category of the Thames Lens photo competition and was also commended in Landscape Photographer of the Year (see: ‘Snowy Day, Tower Bridge Moorings’).
