Guy Needham

Guy Needham’s inquisitive worldview was shaped by growing up in rural New Zealand in the 1970s. Today he is noted for his work with indigenous tribes, primarily drawing on themes of identity and place within cultural narratives.

His work is a hybrid of photographic genres, sitting somewhere between documentary and portraiture. The simplicity of his pared-down style often belies a nuanced observation and complexity of subjects. His work is described as having both a quiet intensity and a subtle momentum that balances light and composition, stillness and movement.

Glenn Davidson

I am a portrait photographer with an editorial style that is creative, stylish and contemporary, drawing on over 30 years of graphic design experience.

I take visually striking photographs that reflect people’s character and story. With every image I aim to capture the essence and energy of the subject, showing their true beauty, strength and personality in the most natural and authentic way possible, always focusing on the individual, the photograph narrative and the final image.

Making a connection with the person in front of the camera is the most important aspect of my creative process from behind the camera, this enables the viewer to also connect with the person in the photograph.

Natalia Gentilcore

My name is Natalia Gentilcore, an Argentinian architect and a creative person who like to inspire and encourage everyone to nurture their light and express themselves.

ENERGY EXPRESSION
Started as a personal project to capture and showcase my inner energy in motion via colours and the project developed into a means to capture people’s energy via their personality and beliefs with me as the artist able to translate the way they see themselves into living works of art.
During this project I merged my passion for painting and photography into a single work of art by capturing people’s energy, their feelings, personality and beliefs. By using their bodies as the canvas, I take the opportunity to imprint their inner light through body paint. The final work of art represents who they are at that present moment in time.

Kieran Brimson

Based in Cornwall, England, Kieran has explored from coast to countryside, from sunrise to twilight, and always looks for unique perspectives to bring a landscape print to life.

In his early thirties, Kieran has already enjoyed success on the international stage, with his work displayed across Europe, awards in major competitions and regular spots in magazines. Despite this success, he does not rest on his laurels, and continues to push himself to create beautiful, unique photography.

Kieran’s photography prints are high in contrast and colour, and he has a great understanding of how shapes and colours can work together. In the post-processing of a photograph, Kieran breaks down the individual elements of a landscape to get the best from them, but nothing is ever faked. He never replaces skies, or pretends a scene was something when it was not.

Stuart Lawrence

This is my 2nd time at the London Photo Show. Last time I displayed a bit of mix but this time I’m sharing my series A\SYMMETRY.

A/SYMMETRY has been a lockdown project. Since I wasn’t going out to take photos, I decided to ‘remix’ some of my favourite images. I wanted to put symmetry in where there wasn’t any before. Sometimes it’s obvious, sometimes not.

Dan Waller

A former City of London Police Detective, Dan retains a great love for the city he used to patrol and is particularly interested in capturing its quirky character in his photography. Having graduated from various ‘point & shoot’ automatic cameras to his beloved Fuji X-T30, Dan used the COVID lockdown to prepare a successful panel for the Royal Photographic Society’s LRPS award. Some of the photographs in this exhibition are from that panel, along with a few more recent captures.

Alma Leaper

In August 2014, I was offered a chance to combine my passion for animals, education and photography by leading workshops at The Big Cat Sanctuary, Smarden, Kent. I am now Lead Photographer and Head of Photography Workshops. I organise bookings, throughout the year, every day of the week. I work closely with our amazing Keepers and I have built up a great team of photographers with Chris Spurr and Sarah Medway. We are always incredibly busy.

From my research of Asian & African cultures and the more recent attempts to refocus objectives towards the conservation of species, I find working at BCS – where the mission is to “be recognised and respected as one of the best breeding centres in the world” – immensely rewarding. The Photography workshops; donations and experiences help considerably towards funding, enabling BCS to operate as a ‘Centre of Excellence, dedicated to the captive breeding of critically endangered Big Cats within the EEP’
