Esther Serrano
“I absolutely love Nature and being in unspoilt places where many people cannot go”
Esther Serrano’s journey started in December 2014 in Abisko Park, Sweden. To see the Northern Lights was at the top of her list of things ‘to do’. Their beauty had a profound effect upon my senses and inner world. Esther decided there and then to learn to capture the Natural world with her camera. Marina Cano introduced Esther to Wildlife Photography in 2016. Since then she has been infused with an unbridled passion for capturing forever fleeting moments of natural history and sharing them with people. Esther would like her images to provide a window to enable people to be there with her, and to create a conscious social awareness to protect and conserve our planet.
Touring science photography exhibition to visit the London Photo Show
The Royal Photographic Society’s International Images for Science exhibition will be visiting the London Photo Show at the Bargehouse Gallery next week.
The International Images for Science exhibition is the product of an open competition for images that show science in its broadest sense.
Last year, more than 3500 entries were received from 80 countries. The submissions came from a broad range of photography and science enthusiasts, including professional and amateur photographers, scientists and researchers, students and school children.

I’m on a mission to erase the grey in business photography.
By understanding more about the person I’m photographing, their work and who they want to communicate with, I create images that show them as they truly are, helping them and their business stand out from an overwhelming ocean of blandness.
I was first struck by the boring representation of business years ago while studying on an exchange programme at Canada’s Ottawa University. Among the vibrantly colour-coded thumb-tab pages of the college prospectus, the business section was represented by a drab grey tone.
Pauline Godwin
Pauline Godwin’s love affair with photography began 18 months ago when her husband, who had been a photographer for 30 years, lost his passion for photography.
He gave Pauline an old camera of his and she went out with him photographing wildlife and landscapes.
The love affair with photography began, with camera in hand as often as is humanly possible it has opened Pauline’s eyes to the world around her.
The results were fairly good, Pauline showed her pictures in a Cotswold gallery where she has sold quite a few. Nothing quite like the feeling that someone wants to put your work on their wall.
Christopher Russell
With a professional marketing and business background, Christopher Russell has been a key player for major UK based organisations for many years before taking his talents into the world of photography.
Christopher specialises in portraits and events photography. He produces a variety of stock photography images for clients, publications and advertising media worldwide.
In August 2017, Christopher was awarded with a distinction for professional photography.
Christopher’s ambitions are to achieve photography awards and to become an accomplished and very successful professional photographer.
Cafe Art confirmed as the 2018 London Photo Show charity Partner
The London Photo Show has confirmed Cafe Art as their charity partner for the 2018 exhibition.
Cafe Art is a social enterprise that connects people affected by homelessness with the wider community through their art.
As the exhibition’s charity partner, Cafe Art will be attending the event at the Bargehouse Gallery between 23 and 28 October, to raise awareness of their work by showcasing images from their MyLondon project.
The MyLondon project was launched by Cafe Art back in 2013 and focuses on empowering people affected by homelessness by celebrating their work in an annual calendar, produced and sold to raise funds for the art groups and artists whose images are featured. Photographs are also framed and hung for sale in a number of independent cafes in London, with 80% of the proceeds going to the artists and 20% going back into the project.
Marija Buljeta
Marija Buljeta is a London-based photographer specialising in studio and outdoor portraits, live music and bands’ promo photography. Marija also enjoys doing impressionist and abstract art work for exhibitions, prints or CD’s and vinyls.
As a photographer Marija collaborates with a number of mostly models, shops, bands and other artists. However, you can most often find Marija in the photo pit at many music concerts and festivals.

Huet Bartels
Huet Bartels, took up photography six years ago and has been on a journey of discovery ever since.
He now enjoys photographing landscapes, astrophotography and cityscapes. He also photographs weddings and events from corporate to birthday parties.

Simon Short
Simon Short has a degree in Photography and he specialises in colour film photography.
Simon takes photographs using colour film in a medium format camera and he prints his images from negative in a darkroom (i.e not digitally).
These images are part of a documentary project, travelling the back roads of America, but with a difference. Simon’s travels across America are determined by only visiting small towns with a British, or in this case a ‘London’ name. Simon is photographing/documenting what he finds along the way, to build up a unique picture of America from an Englishman’s perspective.
